Why I Am At MATC

My name is Bryan Madson and throughout my life I've gathered an eclectic mix of skills, hobbies and jobs. From landscaper to musician to volleyball player to actor to stay at home dad, I've been able to experience a lot of life. I've had the pleasure of traveling the world and sharing what I've learned with others. I've gotten to teach my daughters most of the skills they now possess, and have even been fortunate enough to share the stage with them. Technology is now a new journey in life for me and I have the desire to learn the language needed to understand it. I started taking classes at MATC over the summer and now I've committed my time to IT Mobile Applications because I believe that the future of communication and information will be done over mobile devices, and I want to keep up with what the world is sharing.

I'm an actor and several years ago I owned a movie production company, DDI Films, LLC. I enjoy sharing stories with people through language, whether it's singing, dancing, acting, written, oral or even mime. Language is able to give people power and coding is simply another language. With the new mediums that exist to connect people, the sharing of ideas is easier than ever. If you can connect people emotionally and use technology to do it then you have a powerful force at your fingertips. Social networking platforms have linked people together like never before in the history of mankind. The ability to communicate instantly with groups across the globe gives ideas explosive properties and ideas can move mountains. I want coding to be the next language I can learn and share.
